| The 2011 13 Colonies ran from 12:01 AM Eastern start on July 1st, (That's one minute after midnight, early Friday morning, July 1st) to 11:59 PM Eastern ending on July 5th (One minute to midnight, late Tuesday night, July 5th). | |||||
| There were at least two S.E. stations per colony state. Also included were Super contest stations, multi-operator Club stations & OM & XYL teams. | |||||

| The theme for 2011 was the Declaration of Independence, see above. Also a special "Contact" logo was affixed if you worked one or all 13 stations. A "Clean Sweep" indicator was also affixed, for those lucky enough to "Q" all 13. | |||||
| Each year a completely new design with a new Independence Era Patriotic theme..NICE! | |||||
| We made 12,500 "Q"s in 2009, 34,273 in 2010 and 40,189 in 2011! For 2012 we expect that "Q" figure to increase dramatically, especially if Propagation & weather is better, and static/QRN levels are lower. Pile-Ups will be a ZOO! but we will be prepared. We have learned alot in 2009 - 2011, and we will employ some different tactics to hear everybody. But please remember that our main goal is not to make a contest out of this. This is a special event to honor our Independence, but bagging all 13 will be nice-Right? | |||||
